Retail sector - There are approximately 230 retail co-operatives in more than 500 western Canadian communities. These retail co-ops employ more than 16,000 people.
The Co-operative Retailing System (CRS) offers retail positions in a variety of commodities including Administrative, Agro, Consumer Products, General Merchandise and Petroleum. All positions offer a wealth of advancement opportunities to employees.
Wholesale sector - Through Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) and its subsidiaries, CRS offers a variety of wholesale careers in different commodities and departments including Corporate Affairs, Crop Supplies Sales & Marketing, Feed, Consumer Products Sales & Marketing, Human Resources, Warehousing/ Distribution, Petroleum Sales & Marketing, and Accounting/Finance/IT.
Manufacturing sector - In addition to retail co-operatives and Federated Co-operatives Limited, the CRS includes a variety of manufacturing facilities across Western Canada. These include: Consumers’ Co-operative Refineries Limited (the Co-op Refinery Complex), six feed plants (in Brandon, Melfort, Saskatoon, Moosomin, Calgary and Edmonton), Interprovincial Cooperative Limited (IPCO), and The Grocery People Ltd. (TGP) in Edmonton, Alberta.
